s a pilot main, i can assure you that DICE did some sneaky changes (at least for the pacific planes) that are not included in the Official Patch Notes... except for the bombing reticle (which is a fair addition, you should not be that accurate with bombs from very long ranges) they also:
-included a half-a-second delay between dropping each bomb. so you cannot release both at the same time like before, and ofc this makes it really hard to oneshot tanks now.
-the area of effect, or otherwise the blast radius of the 500lbs bombs must have gotten smaller, because hitting tanks is either 50 dmg if u drop it exactly on them, 25 if you drop it slightly to their sides, and 0 dmg if you dropped it like 2 meters away. so to 1shot them, you have to drop both of them ON the tank, which is no considerably more difficult due to the added delay.
-the 4xLMGs, at least on the zero, feel as they have a lower rate of fire. probably did that to balance them against the corsair, but the problem was not the rate of fire, rather the non-existant convergence of the corsair's guns. they did nothing there, and the corsair feels still weak af against the zero.
-also, i saw somewhere a post with what looks like a bug, where the Spitfire VB and the Mosquito dumb fire rockets can do 100 dmg to a tank if fired all together. this should never be the case!
-another bug that i found is when i switched my loadout on the corsair, and used the 1000lbs all purpose bomb, my plane was constantly fighting my aim, and it was trying to pitch up on its own, while i was trying to aim at the ground. others have said the same thing, too. when i switch my loadout again to use the 2x 512lbs bombs again, the problem disappeared.
-i think that was happening before, too, but i gotta say it. incendiary bombs are very inconsistent, and they seem to do 0 dmg when i drop them even in groups of people, and when their range suggest that i should be killing at least 2-3 people. other times, they work fine. im not sure, but it seems to be that they have a much smaller effective range than their exploding animation suggest. also, im pretty sure that they dont leave any fire on the ground burning. they just explode and whoever is in the vicinity (hopefully, cause as i said they are inconsistent) catches on fire.
i havent tested the other variant with the rockets, or the other planes like mosquito, spitfire, bf109 or whatever, but there are surely some sneaky changes now, and i find that very bad for DICE to not include those in the patch changes. I would like to know what has changed, so i can change my loadouts accordingly, and not having to test each spec manually to find what actually works now...
