Still no War Stories Challege fix???

What happens when the bug occurs? I don't get the melee weapons
What should be happening instead? I should get the melee weapons.
I know this is happening to multiple people and I have still not heard any response on any intention to fix it.
The War Stores are bugged when trying to complete the challenges, the game seems to "lose connection" to Origin, and when it regains connection, it claims that the player did not complete the challenges, and thus doesn't get the unique melee weapons.
Attempting to re-complete the challenges is impossible through normal means, because when you enter the mission, the game says you have completed all the challenges, so it does not let you complete the challenge AGAIN.
The only work around found for this is to completely remove the Settings folder and have the game recreate it. Meaning the game thinks you are playing for the first time. This means that the player has redo ALL THE MISSIONS AND CHALLENGES in order to unlock the weapons.
This is ridiculous.
How is there not a way to simply have the game re-check to see that they were completed?
I do not think it is right that I have to manually mess with the games files and then completely replay the ENTIRE war story in order to get something I already earned because the game decided to lose connection for some reason and pretend I didn't finish.
