Tank strategy/help

So in BF1942 tanks were awesome. They were not unstoppable but they played as how you would think a TANK would be played. So in BFV the tank feels like its made of cardboard. Three or for shots from ant infantry and I'm dead. I've barely had time to take a shot.

Second problem, when going one on one or tank vs tank I usually always lose. I can hit the other tank 4, 5,  7 times and its like I barely scratched it. In the same battle 1, 3 shots and the other tank kills me. If I just don't understand the mechanics please explain/help.

  • @RicketySprockets I've found that tanks in BFV are most effective when they stick with their team (not always possible of course), as they can go down quickly if the tanker tries to go it alone.

Also in tank-on-tank combat try to stay at an angle to the enemy - if weak spots are being hit then chances are high that you'll lose. It can be worth changing to the anti-tank shells too, if they've been unlocked in the specialisms.

It's pretty easy to hit a Tank .
But . . aiming your shells at tracks , turret or engine compartment ?
    That's hard , but still easy .
Your Enemy proves that it's a learnable skill .

Believe it or not , your future as Tanker is rosy .
Or , it can be 🙂

It always depends also where you hit a tank, if you hit the back of it or any other certain areas it can actually deal more damage to it as if you hit the upper better protected parts or like straight at the front of it cause usually Tanks are always most protected at the offensive parts and have the weak spots somewhere hidden (back)

So can be a huge factor how you positioning is to the enemy Tank as well.

Besides that, you never know if people are behind the enemy Tank repairing him constantly while he fights you.

Or if other Infantry enemies are hidden around that sometimes hit you at the same time with something as when the Tank shoots too, so you might don't really realize it that there is one but you get killed quicker.

Also positioning on the map can be making a difference, same as like "who shot first" and how long it takes the other one to spot you so you might shoot even twice before his first shot.

Maybe even different perks are the way to go.

And of course as more you play it, you'll get used to it. Also optimize your setup, settings maybe.

    Greets,

    Travis
