The program encountered E1110005 at 00001D9B during initialization. Windows 7

At April 5 2024, EA Games decided to implement ANTI-Cheat engine due software update at Battlefield V

Millions of player are now see the message bellow.

The program encountered E1110005 at 00001D9B during initialization.
Windows 7 is not supported.
Please use a newer operating system

First known information this is that ANTI-Cheat engine using Kernel mode of the operating system.

I am from the players with moral values,  never use any cheats software and always wasting time so to report other cheaters.
If EA games was actually using information of reported players, then it would not be necessary to use any special software patch.

For all of us which using windows 7 by choice,  there is no option any upgrade to W10 or higher.
And therefore EA games it should reconsider about removing this restriction and or to modify their software, so Windows 7 this to be excluded from this latest upgrade.

We did pay and buy Windows 7 compatible software after all.

I am no kid,  I am industrial electrician 55 years old,  my only downloaded game is this one.

I do expect EA in ten days time  to deliver a temporary software patch,  exclusively for all  Win 7 PC.

    Detals here :

    https://answers.ea.com/t5/Battlefield-V/Ending-Windows-7-8-8-1-operating-support-for-BFV-BF1-and/m-p/13120063#M87848

Microsoft pays companies like EA , Steam , Activision and others to add a locking script in their older games code that verifies the Windows version. If it detects a system currently no longer supported by Microsoft, it pops up a message about unsupported Windows . The same will happen with Windows 10 once support is complete (probably not right away, but up to a year from now it will probably happen).

Why is Microsoft doing this? For a simple reason, currently processors are so powerful that the top versions of the CPU of a given generation will last for many years to come. An example of this is, for example, the I7 8700K, which is an old core, and still performs very well even with BF2042 after a small OC to 4.7 ghz, for example, also Microsoft now contracts companies to add scripts that block games from starting on older versions of Windows.

In Call of Duty it was the same thing (we're talking about Call of Duty on the Battle.net platform), older Call of Duty that ran on Windows 7 normally to this day. Call of Duty Vanguard and BO CW got a patch that added a scrypt to prevent games from starting on Windows 7 and 8.1.

In Windows 11, they went so far as to add a list of processors on the system on which you can't install Windows 11 (Intel 7th generation inclusive down and some AMD series), and why does Microsoft use this type of CPU list lock ? To force an OS change, otherwise they wouldn't make money.

And in Windows 7, for example, they blocked the installation of updates for CPUs with I7 8700K and newer procs 🙂 Also Microsoft's rules and regulations are simple. You buy permission to use the OS, but they can do whatever they want with it and the fact that you spent money is of no interest to them. If they hadn't made such a lock on Windows 7, probably few people would have switched to Windows 10, because at that time W10 was terribly annoying and flawed, just as Windows 11 is now. MS instead of making a good Windows right from the start, so that users would switch to the latest Windows themselves, they write some experimental OS and study user feedback, only after 2-3 years they bring the latest OS to a reasonably normal order.

Of course, the official reason is to ensure security for users xD 🙂 , just like with electric cars, everyone knows they are not green, but  politics are told to people  that electrics will save the planet 🙂 It's just a pity that in the green deal there is nothing about the elimination of air transport. 1 Plane generates as much CO with one flight as several hundred thousand cars 🙂

It's all about cash, all decisions have nothing to do with reducing CO.

In the past Microsoft of this did not require the introduction of locking scripts from game developers, because PCs died a natural death , they simply became too weak and the user changed them. Currently, a user who bought a powerful CPU, without such locks, could use the PC for up to 15 years, that is, the business would not match and CPU manufacturers would go bankrupt.

    Thats my opinion

Well, it was written for Windows 7 and 8.1, but because nobody wanted Windows 10, Microsoft had to have companies put up blockchains to force users to buy Windows 10 and move away from Windows 7. That's how it works. I happened to be on Windows 10 from the beginning because the i7 8700K was running badly on Windows 7 due to a lack of drivers for that CPU, but those who had older CPUs declared that they would not change their system, so the action of ''lock boot on Windows 7 and 8.1'' was introduced , which resulted in either installing Windows 10 and continuing to play, or staying on the older version of Windows, but the game is gone, and since there is a phrase included in the licence of each software that informs that the owner of the software can change its product at any time, it is what it is.

When you buy a game you agree that you don't own the game, you only gain permission to use it, and the product you bought is still owned by the company, so the developers of the game can block you for, say, cheating in the game, and you can't claim a refund for the game after the notice period (which is, say, 14 days after buying the product) has expired. I don't know if you know, but once a particular Windows loses support, you start using it illegally and in fact, you can even be penalised for using an unsupported Windows, well unless you buy a special extension from MS for few years.

I had a working game past week,  and now its blocked from the hand of EA Games.

EA Games got my money, EA Games has major responsibility in many ways.

They did nothing to block reported cheaters.

They did a blind software  update with out informing in advance their supposed customers.

Now they are obligated to restore functionality or to REFUND all costumers which are intentionally blocked.

Microsoft its not my enemy,  at Win7 they give the choice about  to download or not windows updates.

They do not block the operating system from running.

I do also wonder of why EA Games does not use LEGAL measures against the software company which write the cheating software?

Unworthy losers is the customers of the cheating software.

And the operating system has nothing to do with blocking or to aloud specific software from running.

By this announcement EA GAMES trying to toss away their responsibility.

REFUND my 27 Euros and block the damn game as much you like ...

I did open Case #174476910 , this is now market as resolved with out me receiving any communication.

There is nothing as explanation of what or how this is RESOLVED.

If EA GAMES which to have only IDIOTS as customers, I do not belong at that class.

It's sad what EA has done, I have 100,000 minutes in BF42 early beta test, then the Battleaxe try before U buy. Then BF4 almost 20 years of Battlefield and UT, and now EA has destroyed all those years. Too late, I am now full Linux and so happy. I have a ham radio setup, OBS setup, and Olamma setup, and now it's training my computer with my own Olamma server.
So, now my AI world is my own, free from censorship.

The smoking gun is the file EAAntiCheat.GameServiceLauncher.exe , the entire game does not have other issues.

If this executable gets deleted, then the game startup normally.

If you try to play on-line, then the server will kick you out in 60 seconds.

If you try to play off-line, this is possible.

Latest EA AntiCheat.Game Service Launcher, this is responsible for this unreasonable discrimination.

I did get logged even for 60 seconds, still the chat board was full of screams about X-box cheaters having their own party.

In which way the discrimination against Windows 7  helped your other customers EA GAMES?
