@shaunchewy - Not that it helps but that isn't correct. If you update to Access Premier it will update the game and online works. You may have another issue.

An update for the rest of you with the Trial Error, if you update to Access Premier you will gain access to the full game and no longer will you have an error, this is obviously not helpful for people who cannot afford to pay over £10 extra each month.
Really I think the two options are:
1. Cancel Origin Access and goto Utomik or another provider.
2. Cancell Access and either buy COD or begrudgingly BF:V and have the right to then claim compensation if services are not working as sold to you. (This is not possible with Trial, that's all it is, a Trial)
Or,
3. Upgrade to Access Premier and keep progress but agree that you've been shafted by EA 😉
Keep in mind that as you have all mentioned, EA really doesn't seem to care about NON BUYING CUSTOMERS. You haven't brought the game, therefore, EA does not have any obligations to resolve it. I DO NOT AGREE WITH THIS. It is just a fact. Buy the game or sign up to Premier and you'll have a leg to stand on.
