When will EA close Dice?

Seeing all the disrespect and disregard towards the community, I cannot help but wonder, when will Dice announce its closure. So many lies, complete incompetence and zero commitment, no understanding of the playerbase, mistake after mistake. Did you fire all of your analytics? POs are in rehab? The management just wants to milk the cow? Ypur decisions are just ridiculous: autoaim, TTK, excluding classical modes.

The game is in terrible condition +1 year after release and yet you cannot stop making it worse. You keep adding more premium cosmetics, when the promised features aren't even there (vehicles customization, community games), to say the least of the vital fixes (anti-cheat, team balance, poor connection and performance across the board).

When will you stop shooting yourself in the foot?

Firestorm - dead. Combined Arms - dead (should've never been brought to this world).

Just hammer the last nail into the coffin and close the studio, nobody is buying your next game after what you did (maybe with 70% discount).

  • DICE isn't closing any time soon so if you're this mad you might as well cut your losses and play something else.

I don't think there have been any real lies, just parts of a roadmap they were unable to complete; lol complete incompetence and zero commitment? I don't think you understand just how crazy complicated a game like Battlefield is - I personally know a few of the devs and can say with absolute certainty they are some of the hardest working people in the industry and the fact they are still making content shows their resolve...

Every game has had auto-aim and they have said you'll be able to tweak it how you want, oh wahh TTK - they gave reasons why they made the changes so until they start making tweaks based on your feedback, i'd recommend learning a new playstyle that involves a bit of skill. Nobody played certain modes, that's why they axed them - anything else can be introduced via community games.

The game plays the same if not better than it did at launch in my opinion. Sure it's a bummer we don't have vehicle customization but really, is that really that important? We have community games and they already said more will be added. Get a console if you want to curb the anti-cheat - the only reason it's bad is because of the sheer number of people doing it, not really the software itself. Use the server browser and go wired if you are having problems with your connection - mine has been stellar on PS4 so it's most likely an issue on your end. What performance issues are you having? There is a large portion of the community that can help out.

People cry all the time for bots and stuff so that's on everyone else if Combined Arms dies. It's still so easy to find rounds of Firestorm so it's clearly not dead; biggest problem with the mode is teaming so if you do that yourself, then everything is balanced. Sounds like you are shooting yourself in the foot constantly playing it when you clearly aren't having fun - next game will most likely be modern so of course everyone will buy it, there probably just won't be pre-orders.

Posts like these offer nothing for them to work on - if everyone was more constructive with their "feedback", we'd all be in a much better place. Thanks for listening to my TED Talk

Well said, the developers cop flak every day from players who aren't happy but never do you hear about the people who are happy. I personally liked the TTK of 5.0 as it forced people to push instead of headshotting people with MMGs from across the other side of the map. It made it more engaging but because people who usually camp had no choice but to push forward, their K/Ds went down and they complained and complained and complained.

If negative people want to leave, then let them. Keep a the game for those who actually want to see it grow and progress. For all those who are thinking of leaving BFV, please remember this isn't an airport, you don't need to announce your departure.
  • @toozy7 This Forum is here to help and improve the game and for that reason I have already posted loads of negative feedback for the game myself. In forums like this all games look quiet bad as nobody takes action, when they are happy with a game.
However, verbally attacking the developers like this has no room here in my opinion. If you are that upset about the game just looks for something else. There are countless awesome games to play.

Yes BFV still has its problems and the developers don´t always do, what we expect them to do. Still, BFV is an amazing game, it made a huge progress since release and I love the game. Furthermore, the amount of content we are getting every other month is awesome. In previous titles we had to pay for this.

I think we can close the discussion by having a look at this thread:

    https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion/Community-Broadcast-Checking-in-before-Chapter-6/m-p/8673364#M12301

There are changes upcoming, Listened to feedback and searched for solutions or take the best of both.

Yes it was not cool, having the game patched and then no changes during holiday. Hope next time changes can be done one month ahead and then one month bug fixing.

But also don't forget there are all kind of different BFV players.

Feedback is good, having an opinion is ok. Shout out loud some frustration is cool.

But also do some research, being just salty is not improving the game.

If I will preorder again a new series of Battlefield, honestly I don't know - agree lots of things happened with BFV. But your post is written with too much salt on the eggs.... :-)

    Cheers,
