My friend gifted me Battlefield V for Christmas, but whenever I launch the game it gives me a windowed screen that I white;. My drivers are updated and all that, and I do meet the requirements for the game to run, but it just displays a white window.

That's definitely strange. When you have the chance can you try repairing BFV in your Origin Library to see if that helps? If you right-click on BFV a menu will come up with a Repair option.
If it still won't launch after that I'd recommend clearing out your Origin cache as well. If there's any sort of issues with the cached data in the client that may help as well. For more info on how you can clear the cache check out the EA Help website.
