Windows 11 dev build and keyboard/mouse input being cancelled constantly

Hello. I encountered a persisting bug with keyboard and mouse input being cancelled on Windows 11 Dev build, on Windows 10 there wasn't any problems.

I know it's most likely not a high severity issue since it will still take time for Windows 11 to release but just wanted to let everyone know.

I tried with a different keyboard and mouse but issue persists, also tried on another computer with Windows 11, input gets cancelled constantly making the game completely unplayable.

  • @legendnationsThis happened with me, And no there is no current fix.

If you want to make Microsoft aware, please type in your search bar on Windows "feedback hub" and type a detailed post and submit it to Microsoft.

That IS why you installed a dev build to test, right?

Letting them know NOW can help them identify the cause and patch it before the OS is released under RTM.

I also posted some feedback on this a month ago,  So feel free to reply and upvote it on the feedback hub.

  • 7 months later and this bug still persists on the Origin client on Windows 11. You'd say use the EA client, but if you use EA play from Steam, you cannot use the EA client. There's no other option for me. I'm honestly surprised it's still a thing. It doesn't matter if you turn off the Origin overlay.

I experience the issue on both BF5 (Origin) and BF1 (EA Play), and I can resolve the issue for the former by using the EA client, though not for the latter.

  • Guys. I found out how to fix this. You have to disable origin in game overlay. Apparently turn off the overlay in Origin setting doesn't work because when I press shift+F1 the overlay still show up in game. You have to go to Origin installation folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin and delete/rename the file called igo64.dll.

  • Origin and Windows 11 sometimes to work well together.  If you disable a file in Origin igo64.dll the problem will disappear (you will lose your Origin fps display.
