Can't give Duplicate Numbers

Product: EA SPORTS™ College Football 25
Platform:Xbox Series X
Please specify your platform model. Microsoft Xbox Series X
What is your gamertag/PSN ID? DominickB3
Date/time issue occurred 9/12/24
What type of issue do you have? Gameplay
Which mode has this happened in? Dynasty
Summarize your bug With number editing now available, there still no way to give duplicate numbers. If a number is given to an offensive player that a defensive player has, the defensive player's number will be changed. Same happens in reverse.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? When you go to edit a number of an offensive player, it will give you options to change to of all available numbers that aren't already worn by other offensive players. You can choose the number of a player from the defense, and then after it saves if you go look at the defensive player the number will be changed. Same happens in reverse.
What happens when the bug occurs? When you pick a number that a defensive player is already wearing. Instead of allowing two players to wear that number, the game then changes the number of the defensive player. Same in reverse.
What do you expect to see? If I choose a number for an offensive player that a defensive player already has, it should allow both players to keep the number instead of forcing the defensive player the change. Same in reverse.

Basically just the game is following the NFL rule of zero duplicate numbers on the roster, when it should be allowing offensive and defensive players to have the same number.

I should be able to have a WR #1 as well as a CB #1, but right now if you change one of them to #1 it automatically changes the number of the other guy.

  • Basically just what the title says. I love that we can edit numbers now, but please stop auto changing numbers of players on the other side of the ball.

If you are changing the number of an offensive player, it correctly blocks all numbers of other offensive players and allows you to pick numbers already in use by defensive players. This is how it should be. Unfortunately when you do pick a number of a guy on the other side of the ball, it changes the number of the guy that originally had it instead of allowing duplicates like it should.

  • Its position based sometimes they stick not sure exactly which positions can share, I’ve seen #3 FB and #3 WR I’ve seen #5 HB and #5 TE

That's the opposite of what should happen. They should be blocking shared numbers on offense like that. Hopefully they get it figured out. I'm still glad that I can change away from terrible numbers though.
