Inside Zone "Split" plays are broken
The inside zone split was very broken in Madden 24 because the OT would almost always block the DE, destroying the logic of the entire play. In College Football 25, sometimes in some formations it does the same. And when the DE is correctly left for the split blocker to target, the other blockers do not play correct blocking assignments. All split zone plays need to be reviewed in this game. One particular instance I have found very problematic and frustrating, is the inside zone split plays in the Pistol Strong Slot Open and Weak Slot open where the FB who kicks out the DE takes a couple steps up forward toward the line before crossing over to the DE instead of taking a direct angle to the DE. When he doesn't take a direct angle to the DE it destroys the play. Please fix these issues. The Inside Zone Split play is designed as a constraint to regular inside zone when the linebacker opposite the play side starts to over pursue, allowing a space to open up for a cutback. Currently in this game, because of broken blocking logic, whether the DE is blocked by the tackle rather than the FB/TE (split), or when the other blockers are not blocking down correctly when the DE is left for the split block, cutback lanes are not available where they should be, thus rendering the play inoperable and without purpose. This play working correctly is critical to running an inside zone scheme. So much depends on it, so fixing it is non-negotiable. This needs to be high on the list of fixes.
