Summarize your bug In dynasty everything in the recruiting area is narrated and read out loud except the most important part, which is the recruiting board itself. I’ve always had issues with narration in these games as stuff that’s important always seems to just not have narration for no good reason and it has never been fixed. It’s been this way for years as well. When you also go onto the recruiting profiles, you have no way of reading the information that is supposed to be given to you with the narrator. The coach abilities menu also does not narrate all the way for example, if I go into the recruiting abilities, it doesn’t actually read what the abilities are, what they do, or the cost once I get into the menu, it will say selected and that’s all. Also with narration, I have no way of reading a lot of information that I need to know like my coach level, XP and other things that are usually at the top of the screen and things like that.. and same within the recruiting menu, things like how many recruiting hours I have or scholarships I have offered are completely inaccessible in addition to the recruiting board itself.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go into accessibility settings within the game, turn on screen narration, and then go to Dynasty. Once you are within a dynasty off-line or online, and you are all set up, go into the coach abilities menu, select any of the options like recruiting, and then start to just go over any of the abilities. You will notice that all it says is selected and nothing else. Then, back all the way out to the main hub of Dynasty go to the recruiting menu within a dynasty and cycle through it. Still with narration on, go to the prospect board add prospects to your recruiting board, and then go to the recruiting board and attempt to scroll down the players you have added, you will notice that it doesn’t read anything about the players, including name or anything else. The Prospects board reads out just fine though. Then if you click on a player on the recruiting board at random because you don’t know who you’re picking, you will cycle through the different tabs in there and noticed that doesn’t give you much information either.
What happens when the bug occurs? For a visually, impaired almost blind player, like myself, the narration doesn’t read out loud at all for these specific parts of the game that are very important, especially for dynasty. I was excited about recruiting in this game, but I can’t really do it now because these things don’t read aloud. Without this narration being proper and covering everything in the game, things like the recruiting board are completely inaccessible to me, and I can’t use them as they are meant to be used.
What do you expect to see? I expect to see EA and its developers actually take accessibility for the blind and visually impaired seriously instead of just what feels like halfway doing it. I want to see the menu narration narrate everything in the game, especially when it is important and crucial to the entire experience of the game. I expect this to be fixed and to be able to use all features of the game with the narrator. It’s not fair to us that you sell the game as having menu narration, and then only parts of the game have it, and then other crucial and important parts Aren’t narrated at all leaving them completely inaccessible. I expect narrator in game to work everywhere in the game and not just certain places.
Hopefully this gets the point across, I was going to add a clip to show what I was talking about however, I have learned that apparently on Xbox at least when you take a clip of the game and go to review it that you can’t actually hear the screen narrator, talking in the clip for some reason.
