On helmets that have, I guess you could say, "stickers" covering a portion of the helmet in-game - Like Michigan's winged helmet or SDSU's Aztec grid - for models like the Speedflex & Axiom the details are inaccurate. The vents are not visible, as they would be in real life. However, on the Schutt f7 model, they are realistically cut around the vents. Really want my RTG QB to beat the Ohio school in style, but I guess it's f7 for the time being....
