Physical Abilities Not Progressing - Dynasty

Same here. I see some over the stat threshold but the icon isn’t highlighted in the UI and I see others over the threshold for Silver or Gold, but they show an old icon colour like Bronze. 

I found a temp workaround to force the abilities to update to their correct tier, until EA fixes the issue in a patch. 

You can only do the temp solution during the Position Change stage. If you change a player’s position, their physical abilities will update to the correct tier based off their ratings. 

Note this is before the Training results stage, so unfortunately you can’t update the tiers after training results until the following offseason. 

Note: Warning if you have a QB with a position specific mental ability (like Field General on Gold or Platinum tier) if you change the QBs position to another position and then bring him back to QB—his position specific mental ability will drop to bronze (bronze tier Field General for example). 

There’s also a chance your player’s ratings and physical abilities will change upon position change. For example a QB’s break sack rating dropped upon changing him to HB and then back to QB. His physical abilities also changed. He was a Scrambler archetype, and he lost off platform and added extender. Just FYI. Be careful changing QB’s positions. 

None of my DBs overalls will go up. CB FS SS K and P have never once increased in overall. I'm in year 2027. I even spent coaching points to give my DBs on off season training boost and they didn't go up. Also too many players don't go up at all at other positions. Another issue is some people get better but they don't have the green arrow. Nor does it show how much they improved like ALL the old games did. Very annoying. Did anyone test dynasty mode?

I also just found another related bug in Dynasty Mode. Upon changing a QB’s position, when changing him back to QB—the tendency type of the QB becomes “Strong Arm” (which I believe is a Madden archetype) and causes the Ratings tab to go undefined, and also removes all the QB’s physical abilities. There is no way to fix this bug, as the QB becomes stuck as a Strong Arm tendency

Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go to a player's player card in dynasty mode and look at the Physicals tab and check the player's ratings relative to their physical abilities.
What happens when the bug occurs? Physical abilities won't progress. I've simmed and played multiple seasons and I have yet to see a player's physical abilities go up a tier. They're stuck with whatever tier they had when they were recruited.
What do you expect to see? Physical abilities tiers should progress once a player's rating meets and/or surpasses the necessary rating

I discovered this myself.  I believe it is tied to the same system as RTG where the CPU has to spend "Skill Points" to "buy" the next tier, once they qualify for this.  I tested by sorting National by position group and then attribute (like Juke/Spin) to see and many of them were not correct.  Every single CPU team player was incorrect. However, players on my USER team did actually increase their ability tier. It seems it's a bug where possibly only user team players will increase in tier, and not CPU.  Also, they have to acquire the number of skill points to purchase the ability tier (hidden in dynasty) and also choose to utilize them to unlock the tier instead of an attribute tree boost.

Update: the physical badges in dynasty only progress a tier when the player reaches a new level threshold (the silver progress bar in their player card). So even if their individual ratings have surpassed the required rating for the next badge tier—that badge will only progress a tier(s) once the player has gone up a lvl (ie 82 to 83 overall). Not sure if that’s intentional by the devs but that’s what I’ve discovered. 

The strong arm archetype bug is still an issue post patch, however and I’ve made a separate thread for that

I recruited a LB that is a "speed rusher", but my scheme 4-2-5 only has OLB as "power rushers"? As a result, he has no physical abilities until I move him to DE... AND he has 21 points to spend on upgrades!!

This hasn't been the case for me. I've had a receiver go from 92 speed as a freshman to 99 the next year. He didn't have a skill cap in that ratings category so it skyrocketed.
