Summarize your bug:
When setting a custom conference with divisions, the "Number of Conference Games" is defaulting to 6. No matter the amount of teams in the conference, this is now an non-editable field.
They also are only even-numbered now, when it was any amount.
How often does the bug occur: Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves:
Start a Dynasty, go to Custom Conferences, select ACC, select Conference Rules, set Divisions to ON, set Number of Conference games to any number, hit Back, re-enter Conference Rules, see bug appear.
What happens when the bug occurs:
Number of Conference Games defaults to 6 games.
What do you expect to see:
The Number of Conference Games set to the number previously defined during initial setup.
I can confirm this was not an issue prior to the 7/23/2024 Patch.
Try adding or removing one team to the ACC so that the league has an even number of teams, then set up your divisions.
I don't think CFB25 allows divisions in a conference if the conference contains an odd number of teams; the ACC has 17 teams by default. Additionally, the game doesn't tell you when you have an invalid conference setup, instead it just reverts your edits silently.
