I have noticed this also, but It happens to me even if I do not touch the controls on the play.

It seems to happen when the DB is playing 10 yards off. If your WR engages and the DB turns to pursue to the side I have been called for blocks in the back 4-6 times in a game if I do not take control and not let my WR engage in a block.
