Team Builder Import Failed

Which mode has this happened in? Dynasty
Summarize your bug Creating a new dynasty after the most recent title update. Import Team Builder teams as done before. After signing coaching contract, a message pops up saying “Team Builder Import Process Failed. You have been returned to the main menu.” I’ve tried customizing conferences. I’ve tried keeping conferences the same. I’ve tried using team builder rosters and again using team rosters I’m replacing. Even tried creating a coach and keeping current coach. Nothing works. It continues to say the import process failed.
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Import team builder teams to online dynasty, sign the coaching contract, then the process fails
What happens when the bug occurs? A message pops up saying “Team Builder Import Process Failed” and returns to the main menu
What do you expect to see? A fix to be able to start a new dynasty with the updated rosters and the ability to import team builder teams like previously done before the August 29th title update.

  • @sfbassfishing I’m having the same issue. It seems like it is tied to teams being corrupted after closing and restarting the game and/or trying to start with more than 2 teams. I tested it and had 2 teams in my teambuilder saves and then closed the game. When I restarted, I had one saved team and one generic Team 006. I even linked a new profile to the game.

    That’s the same issue I was having. The night I posted this, when I would turn on the game, some of my team builder teams would be missing. I’d have to redownload them. I was testing it, turned it off and back on, missing teams again. And it wasn’t always the same ones. It was random teams that went missing and I’d have to download again. 

    So I got fed up, gave up, posted this, and went to bed. The next morning, I thought I’d try it again. All my team builder teams were there, and creating the dynasty how I was doing it worked just fine. 

    No clue what the issue is or what fixed it. 

  • Dang. Consider yourself lucky I guess. I haven’t had luck starting one yet. I ideally want to add 15 teams, but thought maybe 8 ( one for each user in the dynasty) would be easier for the game to process. Not the case. Guess I’ll keep trying and eventually it will go through?

    Try Deleting the teams and re-downloading them. After I tried it mine worked. Hope this helps 

  • This really sucked for me. But here’s what I did to fix it:

    Initally I noticed that the game kind of stores kernels of each download, even if you’ve deleted it in your files management it’s still pretty wonky. You’ll see things like the wrong logo with a team you previously downloaded, etc.

    To fix this, what I did was simple - Start by deleting all downloaded teams, then re-download them - Next I deleted my user profile. Which is just some simple settings. Exit out of app, check for updates then reopen. You’ll need to choose your fave team again and all of that but this time go straight into New Dynasty, choose Cloud Multi User, then Default Roster (to avoid EA having to load all the new players - not sure if this mattered for success but I chose default) now do everything as you usually would. Once you sign coach contract it should import your teams correctly. Hopefully this helps someone. It was giving me hell. 

    Not sure what causes this maybe it’s a batch file issue or something.

    Deleting all teams and user data only worked for me one time, I was able to load into my online dynasty once right after trying the above steps, but any future times failed, even after re-deleting all old data and trying again. Has anyone resolved the issue in another way?

  • That’s really strange because mine has been working ever since I employed the above steps. I’m not sure why you’re still having issues. 

    Edit: It actually could be a corrupted team file. Maybe try downloading one at a time and trying it or try to locate which team file is giving the issue.
