Can confirm this is still occurring as of Nov 26. You can move the players to these archetypes, but they will never progress. If you view any of their player cards, they have no ratings or abilities, and will often have dozens of unspent points because they cannot spend them. Confirmed on multiple dynasties on Xbox and PS5.
This is a serious bug. Hoping EA addresses it soon, it makes it very painful to run a 3-4 or 3-3 defense.

Frustrating to still see no fix for this fairly major bug, and even more frustrating that we get no communication at all. Even a generic "Thanks for the report, we've forwarded it to our development team" would be a huge improvement over the literally nothing we get. I keep getting told that EA looks at every single bug report, but that's really hard to believe when this is just the standard we've come to expect from EA for years. No communication at all, unless someone doesn't get their MUT drops, then EA tweets about that within minutes.
