If you are like me, you have only ever played offline. But learned of a work around... Start your private Online Dynasty with only you as the only user! it is virtually the same as offline, and you will be able to use your Teambuilder team! I did it last night with one of the preloaded TB teams and it is literally not different. Just set your password and you will have the same experience

Thanks for confirming, Wofford34...
That's exactly how I've ever played a dynasty.
1 question. Did it require you to purchase PS Plus?
I tried to start up an online dynasty and it immediately forced me to a PS Plus purchase screen that I couldn't advance past without purchasing.
I guess that would make since for online play with other people, but I will only be single user. I only use the online feature to do my off-field things like weekly recruiting on my laptop on my lunch breaks at work. I don't play any games online whatsoever.
- 7 months ago@rcrc Same issue on Xbox. The fact that you need to pay just to play by yourself with a custom team is outrageous

Thanks for confirming that I wasn't missing something.
When I saw the subscription screen, I was definitely thrown off.
If there is any reason at all (besides money) why they are now requiring a PS Plus subscription in order to use a created team in an online, single-use dynasty, I would love to hear it. Being able to work on recruiting while I'm not able to sit in front of my tv and console was useful.

A commenter wrote earlier, that they can just do an online dynasty and play as a single person and it's the same thing... they intended to pretend that it is the same as offline - Yes you can do that. However, now you have to add in a monthly charge in order to access the Dynasty. Also, like the last 2 days.... when the EA servers poop the bed, you can't access the dynasty that you have online even though you've paid 9.99$ per month extra. It's a trash, money grab by the EA overlords. They know that a significant portion of us like to create a team, build our dynasty and play if for the entire year. This gives them a 120$ add-on for the 100$ game that we bought. It makes sense as a corporation. Its terrible customer care though.

The game allows you to play as your team builder in exhibition games, then when you try to start a dynasty it wants me to buy a $20 per month subscription.. It doesn't make any sense. Last EA game I'll ever buy with their endless cash grabs. I can't afford EA.

And I went through the various hype pages on ea.com and there's no indication that you need to subscribe to PS+ / XBox live to really use Teambuilder (or even a single player online dynasty), so looks like EA is being very shady about the whole thing. I would not have bought this game without Teambuilder and will not be paying $10/month in order to use Teambuilder. EA should be giving refunds to everyone they shafted with this.

@EA_Kent is there ever going to be any word on being able to play offline dynasty with our team builder teams? A patch for this version? Will it be allowed in 26? It won’t be an option? I’d like to at least know something, so I can either look forward to it being right, or just give up on ever playing the game again. This is the biggest disappointment that I’ve ever experienced in a game I was so excited for (and I saved up and took a time off to play Anthem). I preordered it, made my custom team days in advance, and have only played 3 games since release.

Servers crashed all over the first weekend and today I can’t even load my team builder dynasty because I get the notification of you cannot connect to EA online servers….because they are down again.
My cupcake team was up 9 on an SEC school w 1:22 to go before the server crashed and I lost it all.
I’ve been forced to play with an offline dynasty because I don’t trust the servers at the moment.- 7 months ago
Lol I'm doing the same thing right now. Can't play online so I'm in an offline dynasty.

But you can only control one Teambuilder team correct? You can’t have several user teams to control like you can in offline Dynasty let alone several user control Teambuilder teams.

The problem with this is that as soon as your internet has a hiccup or EAs servers drop you get kicked to main menu and lose progress. If you are in a game you can't resume it you have to restart it. Offline Dynasty for my created school would be ideal.

Not to mention having to pay for a service that was free in '14, was free in early access, and is now no longer, with no indication on their store page.

Problem is that you have to pay a monthly fee for access to online private dynasty. It might make sense to pay a fee for online multiplayer activities, but paying a fee just to play what is effectively an offline dynasty by yourself is crazy.

No,it's not the same, because I have a offline league,my friends come over and we play local,we've never played online never will we skipped madden 2013 because ea pulled coop online only that year.
It's disgraceful nobody was able to find this out before ea pocketed our money for early release it's ashamed they're charging 140$ and advertising teambuilder,a feature responsible for many buying to begin with, and it's unavailable to the community who's begged for itsince madden 12!Smdh
