Offline Dynasty Teambuilder

Same here. Spent hours building my old HS team, drawing the logo in InkScape (basically open source Adobe Illustrator), bought a new console, built another team while I waited, all to get kicked in the jimmies when I went to start my dynasty.

The worst part is, it really doesn't make sense for EA to Teambuilder dynasty online only. Because as far as I know, EA doesn't get a bonus for me paying for Xbox live, that goes to Microsoft. It's not like it's an in-game micro transaction.

In the meantime, I'm just going to play Road to Glory and hope EA recognizes that this should be remedied. I'm no programmer, but I can't imagine it would be too difficult. 

Problem is that you have to pay a monthly fee for access to online private dynasty. It might make sense to pay a fee for online multiplayer activities, but paying a fee just to play what is effectively an offline dynasty by yourself is crazy.

Absolutely.  Seems like there are a lot of people here who fell for this.  They better make make Teambuilder teams available in Offline Dynasty in this year's version or there will be a lot of angry people.  And if they don't update their sales page to be accurate, more and more people will be buying the game and getting screwed.

I spent hours on the Team Builder website creating a team. I downloaded the team on my Xbox series x. I tried to create a new dynasty BUT CANNOT use the custom team without an Xbox Live membership.

Nowhere in any of the preorder or instructions does it say Xbox live membership is required.

This is VERY misleading! I will not pay for online play when I only use the Xbox to play solo.

100%! Even the create a player stuff seems purposely misleading. I read and watched a few things that said you wouldn’t be able to create players with real opted out player names. That implies that you could still create generic players. But now there’s no create a player feature at all. Create a player has been in every sports game going back to the 90’s. 

The game looks great but the lack of these features has me holding off on purchasing. I’m not holding my breath a patch will change any of this. 

EA choosing to limit team builder to only online dynasty is their fault. They know Dynasty is far and away the fans preferred mode and by setting it up this way they’re trying to force people to buy the online subscriptions to get more $ out of people. It’s the typical tech bro business model that has infected so many corporations now. I bought a PS5 specifically for this game as it was my favorite game growing up and with all these limitations now being revealed I’m unlikely to purchase the game. I do not do online gaming at all. Also, all the complaints about bugs and glitches appear to be from online dynasty as users playing offline have said they aren’t experiencing any issues. 

Are you paying for multiple online subscriptions?

This is 100% deliberate and it's 100% EA's fault. This was part of their overall micro transaction strategy. We have to unite and stop giving EA our money. I know that is a huge ask for most of us but that is the only way to force EA to change. If we continue to give EA our money then we only need to look in the mirror to point out who's to blame.
