They definitely marketed it: Team Builder Deep Dive Not to mention that it was in (but much better) for several years prior to break after NCAA 14. I think they broke it trying to get it to work for Madden as well. I'm sure they'll fix one little part for next year, call it a new feature, and rake in the cash. Only way to get a quality product out of EA is to refuse to buy their game until it works for real, not just partially.
Personally speaking I think it is a pretty simple fix in the coding. However, will anyone at EA do it? Doubtful.
