Clock Running after Calling Timeout

What happened in the game leading up to the issue? 
I completed a pass across the middle of the field for a first down and was tackled in bounds. I called my final timeout with 10 seconds remaining in the 2nd quarter. The game acknowledged my timeout, stopped the clock, and brought me to the Choose Play screen. As I began looking for my next play, the clock on the scorebug zoomed down to 0 seconds remaining, almost as if I had chew clock on. Since I had called a timeout, I was shocked to see this and extremely disappointed.

What was supposed to happen before the issue came up?  
The clock should have remained stopped at 10 seconds remaining in the 2nd quarter until I snapped the ball on the next play.
