Bug Report: Passing Settings Reset in Ultimate Team “Play a Friend” (PlayStation)

Platform: PlayStation 5

Mode: Ultimate Team → Play a Friend (Head-to-Head, NOT Squads)

Issue: Passing settings reset at the start of every match

Steps to Reproduce

1. Launch College Football 26 on PS5.
2. From the main menu, set passing settings to Placement + Accuracy.
3. Enter Ultimate Team and start a Play a Friend match against another user.
• Friend’s platform: Xbox Series X
• Both players have matching passing settings.

5. When the match begins, my passing settings are forced back to Revamped, while my friend’s remain correct.

Expected Result

My chosen passing type (Placement + Accuracy) should remain active during the match, just as it does for my friend on Xbox.

Actual Result

• My settings reset to Revamped every time, even though my profile still shows Placement + Accuracy in menus.
• Settings cannot be changed mid-match (option is locked).
• This only affects my side on PlayStation.

Workarounds Tried

• Setting passing type from the main menu before entering Ultimate Team.
• Rebuilding profile settings and re-uploading to cloud.
• Clearing saved data (profile/settings only) and re-configuring.
• Swapping host (me hosting vs. friend hosting).
• Confirmed that the issue happens every time.

None of these resolved the problem.

Additional Notes

• My friend on Xbox does not experience this bug — his settings stay correct in Play a Friend matches.
• This suggests the issue is platform-specific to PlayStation.
