Game needs a lot of work

The way I have fun in CFB is by playing an Army dynasty, and running the triple option. I’m in season #2, so I have a lot of experience with their playbook.

#1 issue with the game= Blocking AI. It’s terrible. So many instances of players running past a defender, or just running straight downfield and touching no one. It’s not “difficult,” it doesn’t make the game more interesting, it’s just infuriating too have a well called play/read and for an offensive blocker to run to the stands.

#2= Plays are inconsistent. The play Rocket Toss (usually) results in a fumble. Simple toss to a RB. Some triple option plays are hold A to keep, while some veer plays are hold A to give. I know WR touch passes were OP in 25, but they are now completely unviable. Slot Option plays out of empty see your pitch back being 10 yards behind the QB. Some orbit motion plays have pitch back in great relation with the QB, while others he is behind and deeper than he should. Pitches to the pitch back are terrible. Pitch backs (all offensive players) are too slow. DL/LB’s with lower speed & accel catch my backs from behind.

It also feels like bad passes are scripted. When I make a good audible to an open route, I tend to get more inaccurate passes.

#3= Playbooks. Army’s suggested plays need fixing. Suggesting long, deep shot passes with goal to go.

When creating a custom playbook, the personnel groupings and formations become messed up. In the normal playbook, it goes

  1. Personnel grouping 1,2,3,4 etc.
  2. Goal Line
  3. Hail Mary
  4. Special Teams

Create a custom playbook, and that order gets messed up. Not to mention the formations within those groupings get changed around once you add more plays/formations. Also with playbooks, the custom audible screen is difficult to read, as the highlighted play is shown in white, and the rest are a light gray.

#4= Smaller things. In dynasty on the top classes screen, your team was highlighted. This year, it’s a little user logo. Fumbles/player physics are really weird. Ball will sometimes teleport to CPU players. CPU tends to be able to scoop and score the football out of a pile of players. Even with coach offensive aggressiveness on 10, I can’t sim XP’s or FG attempts, because CPU will go for it when it makes no sense.

All that being said. The game can still be enjoyable. I usually enjoy the first 30-45 min of playing in a game, then these things start to add up, and I quit. I hope some of these can be fixed.
