I can't hot route my tight end in any game mode

Same thing happens to me, I go to hot route the TE which is x on PlayStation and it won’t come up with the menu to select a route
Don’t know if this is intended or not but I think it depends on the player archetype for TE. Like vertical threats can hot route but blocking TEs can’t
