Trap coverage (Cover 4 Palms, Cover 9) jumps the flat route WAY too late.
Run Palms vs a coverage with 2 receivers on one side, the slot (aka #2) running to the flat. The outside CB needs to jump this, but as you see below he is way too late. The entire point of running trap coverage is to show that the flat is open, but have the outside CB "trap" the route, in hopes of a big hit, PBU or even better an INT
