Missing skill points

I have the max skill points for every single upgradable player on my team but when i reset them to reroll for higher stats it takes more skill points to be maxed out again. And the only way to then refully upgrade them is by spending money to buy points😐. This has happened to my season 1 players and my cornerstone players. Its not even possible for me to fully upgrade my cornerstone player. If this is by design to make you spend money this company has sold their souls.
