Game of The Week Announcing Crew
I think this may have already been reported but wanted to do so again. The game of the week announcing crew is now the 2 crew of David **bleep**, Jeese Pamler and Reece Davis when it should be Chris Fowler and Joe Klatt. I noticed it yesterday when I started a new season in my Texas State Dynasty and my week one matchup was between me and another top 5 team and Chris and Joe weren’t calling the game. My week three opponent is also another top 5 opponent and it’s the game of the week and again David, Jeese and Reece are doing the game instead. This needs to be fixed as soon as possible to ensure games of the week continue to feel like season defining moments. Below I’ve attached two videos that help highlight this bug. One is a video of me at the matchup screen where Game of The Week is displayed in the center showcasing that’s it the supposed game of the week so I’m supposed to get the Big Game commentators. Title: PC Hard Lock Requiring PSU Power Cycle Madden 26 (Also Affects College Football 27) Platform: PC steam and EA app Hardware: CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900XT GPU: ASUS TUF GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER Motherboard: ASRock B450M Pro4 RAM: 16 GB (2×8 GB) PSU: Corsair 750W gold Windows: 11 Issue Description: Before a Madden 26 update, the game ran without any stability issues. Immediately after the update, the game began causing complete system lockups. Which randomly occur during load up or deep into gameplay (so basically completely random) The issue has since also appeared in EA Sports College Football 27. When the crash occurs: The screen goes completely black. Audio stops immediately. Keyboard lights turn off. The PC becomes completely unresponsive. Pressing the case power button does nothing. The only way to recover is to turn the PSU off using the switch on the back, wait a few seconds, turn it back on, and then start the PC. Other demanding games run normally for extended periods without crashes. Troubleshooting Already Performed: Clean NVIDIA driver installation using DDU. Tested multiple NVIDIA driver versions. Verified/repaired game files. Tested both Steam and the EA App. Disabled all overlays. Limited frame rate. Reduced GPU power limit. Updated motherboard BIOS (second newest version). Confirmed the issue began immediately after a Madden 26 update. OCCT graphics and power test Expected Result: The game should run without causing a complete system lock requiring a PSU power cycle. Actual Result: The game intermittently causes a full system lock that requires cycling the PSU switch before the PC can be powered on again. Players selecting a Tier 5 team are consistently paired against opponents using Tier 1 or Tier 2 teams, regardless of the tier filters or preferences set prior to matchmaking. I enjoy playing as tier 3 teams and below, yet I constantly play nothing but tier 1 teams now after the update. This matchmaking issue even ruined my playoffs, as I was a tier 3 playing a tier 1. Playoffs need to be tier locked! I'm not even playing the requested tiers anymore, as matchmaking always pairs me with tier 1 teams constantly. This matchmaking issue has taken the fun out of RTTCFP for me and I won't play until it's fixed. What's the point of playing with lower tier teams if you get punished for doing so? Grind in the regular season with lower tier team, all to face tier 1 cheesers in the playoffs. When I perform a kickoff or punt, the ball goes sailing past the endzone no matter what strength I put into the meter. This was tested with multiple teams and kickers. I'm not sure what the point of the meter is if its going to blast off every time. It makes placing punts incredibly difficult, as I can't figure how to prevent the ball from going out of bounds. Hello EA Team, I’m experiencing frequent stability issues on the PC version of College Football 27. The game will sometimes crash to the desktop, and other times it will completely freeze my PC, forcing me to hold the power button to restart. The crashes most commonly occur after finishing a game and returning to the main menu, after simulating halftime in Dynasty, or while entering an online game at the team selection screen. I can also spend over an hour in Practice Mode without any issues, but the game often crashes during menu or game transitions. My PC Specs: Ryzen 7 9700X NVIDIA RTX 3070 (latest Game Ready Driver installed) 32GB DDR5-6000 RAM Windows 11 Troubleshooting I’ve already completed: Updated to the latest NVIDIA Game Ready driver. Repaired the game through the EA App. Reduced graphics settings to Low/Medium. Disabled Ray Tracing. Switched to Fullscreen mode. Disabled CPU Auto OC and returned to stock settings. Verified CPU and GPU temperatures while gaming (GPU stays around 60–70°C, CPU around 80–85°C in Ryzen Master, both within expected ranges). Verified GPU usage is normal during gameplay. Confirmed other demanding games, including Madden 25 and Call of Duty, are stable on the same PC. I’ve also noticed many other PC players reporting similar DirectX errors, crashes, and freezes on Reddit and the EA forums across different GPU brands, which makes me think this may be a broader PC stability issue rather than a hardware problem. My question is: Is EA aware of these PC crash and freeze issues, and is a hotfix or stability patch currently being worked on? Prior to the patch the tier selection for RTCFP was working well for me. Now it’s completely useless. I just get Tier 1 opponents no matter what tier I select. How do you go backwards in that regard? Do you actually regression test or what is happening? Loved 25. 26 was not great. This year was enjoying some of the changes but thanks for ruining RTCFP since now I just face the same 4 teams. I’m still not interested in CUT, no matter how many ways you degrade the other play modes. After Madden 27 was made available and I made a coach, I went to college football 27 to unlock the visionary perk for my dynasty. I checked and on all 3 of my existing dynasties, it showed that I hadn't met the unlock requirements and still needed to make a coach in Madden 27. When I made a new dynasty it unlocked the ability, but only for that new dynasty. No matter what I do, it still shows I haven't met the requirements in my existing dynasties. I am reporting a serious issue with the Visionary coach archetype in College Football 27. I created an NFL coach, and the Visionary option is available when I create a new Dynasty. However, when I try to use that same coach/archetype in my existing Dynasty, Visionary is locked and unavailable. This appears to be a bug because the exact same feature works correctly when starting a new Dynasty but does not work in my existing Dynasty. I have already invested a significant amount of time into my current Dynasty and should not be forced to delete my progress or start over just to access a coach archetype that is already available in the game. Problem: Visionary coach/archetype is unavailable in my existing Dynasty. Works correctly: New Dynasty Problem occurs: Existing Dynasty I am asking EA to investigate and fix this issue for existing Dynasty saves. Please do not simply tell me to start a new Dynasty, because that does not resolve the problem and would mean losing my current progress. What I want is a fix that allows Visionary to be unlocked in my current Dynasty without restarting or losing my progress.
