I do agree ladder is a hot mess - even people who are half-decent would agree. Player level/unit level/medal count/skill is all over the place. We got people coming back to the game after a hiatus with level 11+ units - but with the reset they're way down.... I'm sure the poor sods having to play against those guys think they're cheating or something...
The game probably needs some kind of metric, or arena, where you have a forever rank - something the suit people that want to see ongoing progress. Just so long as it's not like SWGOH arena.... the payout scheme, by placement, by hour, led to a handful of players locking up top spots which just is not cool.

Wait till you it master league, at this point, your progress is over with the new system. I stopped at master 2. Too much games for going back most of the time as I win 10 to 15 medals when I loose more than 20 for a defeat...
I just assumed anyone complaining hadn't made it yet - LOL.
The shame is on me and my family.
