Can't launch C&C:The_Ultimate_Collection games after 24.01.2020 (unified thread)

I made one big thread about this problem and moved your posts to it.

Problem fixed in the Origin version 10.5.68.39605 - 760501.

    Hi folks. 

    We're looking for a bit more information on this. If possible we'll need to gather up Origin Error Reports to send those up as well. 

    If you can, please run an Origin Error Report and send me the ID in a direct message. You can find more info on how to run it over at the EA Help website.

    Command and Conquer Generals and CC Zero Hour will no longer launch (open) when the game is selected.

    Command and Conquer fails to launch and asks me Enter Product Code.  I looked in all the places it said and there is no code.  How do I play the game or how do I get a refund?

    This is what I see first time I try most of the C&C games, none will launch just go to Origin.

    5) Tick "Disable Origin In Game For This Game"

    I only have: Enable Origin In Game for Command & Conquer Red Alert™ 2 and Yuri’s Revenge™

    But i tried with both...doesnt work for me ☹️

    What a useless Customer support chat on this matter.....

     TS PROPOSED:
    - update device drivers
    - Windows Update Troubleshooter
    - System File Checker
    - Origin re-installation as an administrator and with UAC fully enabled (to ensure changes to the system are allowed at all the steps)
    - If no improvement is noticed - requested system files

    Please accept my apologies for any frustration caused by this incident and the delay in getting back to you. Being a seasoned PC gamer myself, I can appreciate how frustrating it is having to troubleshoot issues such as this.
    First and foremost, please make sure all your device drivers are up to date. This is imperative for the games best performance - especially if its a new release:

    Next, if the issue persist, can you please follow the instructions from the below Microsoft article?

    In case the Windows Update Troubleshooter fails to fix the issue, please make sure you also follow the Windows Update Errors section of the article.
    Next, please run a System File Checker to make sure your Windows installation is not corrupted:

    The two steps above will ensure your Windows is as stable as possible without the need of reinstalling it, so let's make sure that Origin is installed with all the permission rights required to run correctly. First please fully remove Origin by following the instructions from the below article:

    Next, please fully enable UAC and then reinstall Origin from our website by running the "OriginThinSetup.exe" file as administrator. To run a file as administrator, simply right click on it and select appropriate option.
    To enable UAC, please follow the instructions provided in the below Microsoft article:

    You can download the Origin installation file below:

    Once the "OriginThinSetup.exe" file is launched as administrator, you should be prompted to allow Origin to make changes to your system, please click 'Yes', this is essential for Origin to work properly. You can then switch off the UAC if you wish.
    Next, please make sure that Origin and the affected game are added to your additional protection software exception lists. Below you will find a list of software that can potentially cause conflicts with our platform:

    Once all of the above is covered, try launching the game again take note of any changes and please send me the 'msinfo' and 'dxdiag' files, if the issues are still persisting.

    These system files will actually show me why the game maybe crushing – but only if Origin is installed in that particular way and the Windows Update Readiness and System File Checker are run.

    Reinstall Origin, Reinstall Command and Conquer Ultimate Collection, Clear cache..Drivers and Windows up do date...

    Nothing helps....

    I will never ever buy anything from EA or Origin...

    I have the same problem. I've done everything. But it worked 2 weeks ago. Another Origin-game (Fifa19) is running. I do not understand.

    Other games works perfectly well.. Just C&C.... Origin mess up an update i suppose...

    Hello there.

    After the last update of origin client (today) I´ve got troubles. 

    I am not able to play tiberian sun or any other game. I click to play button, it is loading, and nothing happens.

    Restarting whole client of pc did not help.

    Pls help !
