C&C 3 Tiberium Wars not working on Windows 8, it says "This application is not compatible with the installed operating system. Please upgrade to Windows 98SE, Windows 2000 or better."

Have done that and still get the message. Have also uninstalled and reinstalled it, which occasionally works.
These games are trashed with origin launcher, never had as many issues with the hard copy, but EA screwed everyone on this game, I don't think anyone is satisfied with the compilation, and I very much doubt anyone gets all the games running right without third party patches and tinkering with the base code.
