C&C games will not launch in EA App

Having issues launching all the C&C games expect Tiberian Twilight via EA App. After opening it will go to the EA app then a splash screen will appear for just a second then nothing. I have uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times in variance directories, run as administrator, changed the compatibility, disabled my anti virus and firewall, and disabled the notifications and overlay for the EA app. Do not know what else to do.

I did not do anything special but this is how it worked in my case:

    1. When this endless "preparing" pop-up shows, I had a second icon of the "EA Play Software" poppin up on my task-bar. This one had a dialogue box asking for admin permissions (not the usual windows one).
    2. Klicked it, then it showed me a screen to select either zero-hour or normal generals (in my case).

Maybe y'all overlook that? No offense meant but to me it worked without any tweaks, I did however clear the EA-App cache.

    Hi,

Never had an issue with Generals or Generals Zero hour, those work fine.  The issue is with C&C3 and C&C3 Kane's Wrath, which still do not work.

Having this same issue, nothing suggested is helping... Any other ideas or EA want to actually fix their horrible launcher?

  • @DaShockMasta Same here. I randomly just tried Red Alert 3. I repaired it first, launched it, It said that it could not find my cloud save. I'm thinking to myself 'whatever' and clicked 'use local' and after that It showed me the covers of RA3 and its expansion pack for the first time!
  • Found a fix.

When I launched C&C, my monitor's resolution would resize to 900x800, and the application wouldn't open. I found a workaround. If I launched the exe outside of EA, by itself - wherever you have the game (found in properties - open folder). When it launched, I changed the resolution scale to match my monitor, saved the settings, closed the game, and relaunched it through EA. It worked. It seems like the game kept trying to launch with the base setting, and the application doesn't like it. This could correctly be done by changing settings through .ini files as well.
