Hi @juliusfernaldo @nickylax @scottygreer
Can you try running the game in compatibility mode for Windows 7 as @d0nt0m66 mentioned?
Hi guys, thanks for attempting to help. Unfortunately it still doesn't seem to work. It has ''run this program in compatibility mode for windows 7'' greyed out, but it is ticked so I believe it has always been doing that. That being said, it is now saying ''missing file ''ssleay32.dll''?'

Hi @juliusfernaldo Thanks for the update, with C&C Generals being an older title I believe it should still have its VC++ installer.
Can you try running all of the VC++ installers you have? If you get prompted to install then do so, if it shows already installed select the 'repair' option.
Restart your device, and check if this error continues.

Thank you and thanks for trying to help. For someone who is not really IT orientated though, I'm really confused what you mean XD. Visual C++? How do you do this? I ran all updates I believe you are referring but it's still not working. I'm still confused why this has all happened simply because had to delete Origin and move to an EA app. I have games on the EA app that are a lot older than Command & Conquer ( 90s games ) and they are all still working.

Hey @juliusfernaldo No worries, I'm not sure what might have happened when you moved to EA App, but the error in regards to a miss dll is a missing windows file.
DLL are a library that contains code and data that can be used by more than one program at the same time. Typically a windows program known as VC++ is having an issue when you have a DLL error.
To confirm when following the steps above, you should have gone to the game's installation location (something like):
C:\Program Files\EA Games (might say Origin Game)\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour
In your games install folders you would have gone to the following locations
- C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour\__Installer\vc\vc2005sp1\redist
- C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour\__Installer\vc\vc2010sp1\redist
And run both of the "vcredist_x64.exe" and "vcredist_x86.exe" files. If you are prompted to install then install the application, if it shows already installed then you would select the repair option
Just wanted to confirm if this is the steps you took?
