Thank you and thanks for trying to help. For someone who is not really IT orientated though, I'm really confused what you mean XD. Visual C++? How do you do this? I ran all updates I believe you are referring but it's still not working. I'm still confused why this has all happened simply because had to delete Origin and move to an EA app. I have games on the EA app that are a lot older than Command & Conquer ( 90s games ) and they are all still working.
Hey @juliusfernaldo No worries, I'm not sure what might have happened when you moved to EA App, but the error in regards to a miss dll is a missing windows file.
DLL are a library that contains code and data that can be used by more than one program at the same time. Typically a windows program known as VC++ is having an issue when you have a DLL error.
To confirm when following the steps above, you should have gone to the game's installation location (something like):
C:\Program Files\EA Games (might say Origin Game)\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour
In your games install folders you would have gone to the following locations
- C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour\__Installer\vc\vc2005sp1\redist
- C:\Program Files\EA Games\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour\__Installer\vc\vc2010sp1\redist
And run both of the "vcredist_x64.exe" and "vcredist_x86.exe" files. If you are prompted to install then install the application, if it shows already installed then you would select the repair option
Just wanted to confirm if this is the steps you took?

Thanks again for trying to help. Yes, I ran all of these and just in case ran again. Same issue and same error that is coming up. I looked at another forum and I can see lots of people are having this same issue with Command and Conquer Zero Hour with the change of app. Not sure if I noted before, but within the app I cannot click on Zero how - the properties button doesn't even come up which I saw some other people are also having.
The only thing that has changed since running VC++ is now within the EA app, it is saying ''game failed to launch, try later''. Before, it just wouldn't start, and continually just kept restarting to EA app.
- 3 years ago@juliusfernaldo I am still having the same problem. It kept saying "An error on our end caused your launch to fail. Try again a little later."
