To be very honest I am very very disappointed in EA now. Nothing has been resolve. By posting something here, EA people should be seeing this right? But nothing is done. And so many games are not working. Why when things are doing fine and we have to keep changing to other apps to start the game? Is this upgrade or downgrade?
Hi everyone, I have found a temp solution and I managed to launch the game.

1) Uninstall EA app
2) Reinstall Origin
3) Change the date time of your computer to 13th of Feb , 2023
4) Launch Zero Hour - ignore the request to update to ea app
This worked but stuffs a lot of other things for my computer. As you can see a lot of people complaining. I have still requested refund and buying elsewhere. EA service is TERRIBLE
- @nickylax I Have been having this problem for months. Under the old format no problem for 9 years. since EA altered the format some months ago it has been useless wait for ages to load then told error on our end. this is just not good enough and never get answers.
I’m guessing everyone has given up cuz Community or EA games don’t have an answer, and a noob such as myself was able to work out a workaround which works temp 😂. I’m guessing the EA app still doesn’t work?

Hi guys, i had the same problem. I found the solution. I installed the GenPatcher Downloads: GenPatcher - Legionnaire Generals (https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jNky4YeUgZhCtRTEJLleQiCMK85CtbDH/view?usp=sharing) and clicked the "apply fixes". After that, it started working!
I start the game directly from folder "Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour\Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour\generals.exe".
