    Try to disable the In-Game overlay in Origin settings. This resolved my game launch issues with Red Alert 2 and Generals.

I have the same issue. running windows 8.1 here.... any way to resolve this issue?

tried running the troubleshoot compatibility as well as disabling ogirin overlay.

My RA2 ultimate edition simply wont start on windows 10.. ive tried everything and all i continuously get is that a "main executable has stopped working" error message. Ive uninstalled, wiped and reinstalled. nothings works. funny thing is that 2 days ago it worked.... then the next morning just kept getting that error

    What exactly is the "everything" you tried? Compatibility modes? Run as administrator? Disable Origin In Game?

      Yes that is correct I did all of this things, what I wound up having to do was Uninstaller both RA2 and origin, then delete any remaining files. Reboot and reinstall.. now I'm back to my original problem of black screen if game get minimized.
