Command & Conquer Generals "Serial Key Already in Use" HELP PLEASE!!!

So I bought two copies of the C&C Ultimate Collection and I installed one on my computer and one on my fathers computer.  Yet, when we try and play Generals: Zero Hour LAN game and I try and join the game a message appears saying "serial key already in use."  I confirmed in Origin that we both had different keys and re-installed the game.

Note: I re-installed the game because I originally installed the game under my fathers Origin account.  I created an account and made sure the keys were different and still no luck.  Clearly that didn't help so I am looking for any suggestions?

I have read some similar posts about people getting this error message but no one with the two new games and separate codes.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks.

    Same problem, getting the advise to play online in stead of LAN.

    Yeah except you can't play online without downloading a bunch of *!!! How bout Fix the LAN problem Origin Jesus what's the point of even buying this * if you can't play it. -_-

    Separate origin accounts, but same bank card used to purchase game. Now getting "serial already in use". So FRUSTRATING. Is there a way to fix this?

    I'm not able to find the files on my computer he is talking about. I think this link is only for those that purchased the CD, not for those of us that purchased through Instant gaming/ Origin

    @616319841984 You are referring to a shady page in a foreign language that links to illegal downloads and unverified cracks. I wouldn't follow those instructions. Please follow the instructions here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/C-C-The-Ultimate-Collection/CnC-Zero-Hour-Serial-Key-not-valid/m-p/2074#M29 If those instructions do not help, I would advice you to do a complete reinstall of Generals and run the installer as Administrator (if you are using the CD-version.) A reinstall fixed it for me in the past when those instructions did not help.
