Command and Conquer 3 - Tiberium Wars and Kane's Wrath stuck on preparing

I saw another thread for this but some bogus generic "repair game" instruction by an EA flunky was marked as a solution (everybody replied that it didn't work but there's been no response from EA sin...

So, I personally can't even get the EA Application to Run anything right. I just own the Games on Steam instead. OK, still a few issues, but the Games Run at least (even if they Crash an Hour Later some times).
