Just bought C&C3 Deluxe Edition from Mighty Ape here in New Zealand but I am unable to install Tiberium Wars as the program will not accept the serial number printed on the DVD case. I have tried several times, no joy.
I have tried the serial on 2 different PC's, one running Windows 7 64 bit, the other running Win XP 32 bit. Both give the same error.
Hope somebody can help as I have got a rather upset little boy here.
No, the game was purchased brand new from www.mightyape.co.nz.
Since my original post i have tried installing a borrowed copy of CNC 3: Kane edition and that installed and plays perfectly on the same PC. I then tried installing the Kane's Wrath expansion from the purchased Deluxe Edition, and this installed perfectly. To me it looks like the supplied serial number on the DVD case is incorrect. I contacted the retailer who supplied me with a replacement copy. Guess what? the serial number for the replacement copy of CNC3 Tiberium Wars DID NOT work either, but the serial for the expansion did.
Is it possible a batch was sent out to retailers with incorrect serials on the case? If so I have never heard of this before.
It's unlikely I'd guess it's a problem on EA's end. In either case you'll probably have to contact EA customer support.
You'll have to select this and select Tiberium Wars, Codes and Billing and get to talk to a Game Advisor.
