command and conquer 4 won't start

I bought the 17 c&c game pack. all games install/load/play fine except c&c 4. it installs, when i click desktop icon, nothing happens. i have tried rebooting and uninstalling/reinstalling. anyone know how to fix?

I came home and installed today's origin update, then tried the game and it works! I didn't even need to disable Origin In Game, so somebody did something to fix it, it works now! Thanks EA!

Launcher updates? Interesting.

With all the unofficial patches involved in C&C, it's pretty much vital to disable automatic Origin updates anyway...
