I second this. I tried everything i could find for windows 8.1, no luck.

  • Added / edited the options.ini
  • Tried all options under compatibility mode, and some different combinations
  • Running as administrator
  • Enabled built in admin account, tried it from there

The initial error i saw was: Access denied: Please login with administrator privileges and try again.

Now it just doesn't do anything, then the compatibility troubleshooter pops up and asks if it worked.
