Command and Conquer Remastered black screen in gameplay

Summarize your bug started Red Alert, and get perfect sound, I can see the cursor but the rest of the screen is black
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? start Red Alert remastered
What happens when the bug occurs? when the gameplay starts, after the video intro

    I had this issue on my Dell laptop which run 4K native but I had the resolution set to 1920 x 1080. I changed back to native resolution on the desktop and re ran it. IT had a black screen for about 5 seconds then was fine after that. Interestingly, in game it had set it's resolution to 1920 x 1080 rather than 4K. 

    Not sure this will help but might point you in the right direction.
