What would people have to offer to EA for you to release command&conquer generals + zero hour source code so that we could fix it and play it for nostalgia reasons?

This is just a tech support forum, pal... you'd need to contact people quite a bit higher up than that to get any response to that kind of questions.
The freeware releases of the older C&C games were all pushed for by the community managers. Sadly, there are no community managers for C&C anymore; heck, as far as I know, there's no one left at EA that's in any way still linked to the C&C franchise. It's quite dead at the moment.
I don't know about source code, since none of the Westwood games ever had their sources released, but if we ever get a new C&C game, I sincerely hope more of the older games will be made freeware at least.
what a pity... i knew it was dead but didn't quite realize how much
sadly, i don't want a different command and conquer game, i want generals, for sentimental value, i can't enjoy any other C&C game anywhere near the same as generals.
if only the game wasn't so broken that it's unplayable.
any chance of pointing me towards the higher ups who could be capable of having any say about it?
