The C&C discs from Tiberian Sun onwards all contain DRM that's no longer supported by modern OSes because of safety issues, so I don't think that's possible.

Have to correct you here; Generals and Zero Hour indeed contain SafeDisc DRM and that is indeed incompatible with modern Windows OS. SecuROM DRM however isn't incompatible with modern Windows OS and can thus still run on modern Windows. The following games should run for sure on modern Windows: RA3, CnC4, CnC3/KW, RA2/YR (SafeDisc was offically patched out, got that info from CCHyper) and even Tiberian Sun itself (also got its SafeDisc DRM patched out through the official patches).

OP specified "a disc copy" though. The fact the DRM is patched out of the TUC versions won't help someone using an original disc.
