How do I play Red Alert 3 online?

So, i had this game for a while on a disc, and I installed it only to play online, I have a PC not a mac btw... So I patched it to the version 1.12, and I went to settings, it still says its a version 1.12 so tahts confirmed, but, when I try to login, it says  "failed to connect to servers, please make sure you have an active intenet connection" or something along those lines. I was trying to log in with my origin account btw. Everytime I try to log in it gives me that error. So, how can I fix it? I allready fixed the campaiign once I need to play the multiplayer, thank you very much, keep in mind its on a disc. thnx!
