How to get rid of protection during the first 7 days of a server?

Hello all,

I just saw on last spanish server which has less than 7 days that all top players having 2 bases were already out of protection.

As the protection should last for at least 7 days OR would get off by attacking someone without protection (he would have to attack someone without protection and so on...), that shouldn't be possible...

So is there something I missed? Is there a way to get rid of protection before the end and without attacking some other player without protection?

Thx for any intell you guys might have !

    Unfortunately you have described the only way to remove the protection from your base.

    Jump into an area where there is an unprotected base, attack it with a single unit to reduce the repair time and you are no longer under protection.

    That said if you are spending your own money on improving and upgrading then it really doesn't matter if you are in protection or not a second base can still be built.

     When you attack to a player, your protection shield goes away. Also having 2 bases is not hard even in 7 days if you know what you are doing or you have support of your alliance/friends.
