Inactive Alliance Leader

Currently playing Command and Conquer Rivals.

Unfortunately our leader has been offline for 4 months.

Is there anyway to change leadership without the current leader transferring it, as they seemingly are no longer playing the game.

I realise we could just all start an new alliance, but feel that we have built up a reputation in our current alliance, so we’re reluctant to do this.

If there is no way to remotely transfer leadership, is there a way to change the requirements of the alliance?

One of our alliance members is asking if their brother can join the alliance, which we are happy to allow. However they are new to the game and only at level 8, so are below the current required level?

is there anyway to remotely change the minimum level to join our alliance to allow this player to join?

  • Nope, you can't do anything. Only the leader (owner) of the alliance can change settings of the alliance.

There is also another rank, I think it's called officier, they can kick members and accept members if your alliance has join requests enabled. But the leader himself has to assign the rank.

    You have 3 options:

1: Ask EA/Redwood if they can help. I doubt that it will work since A: the devs have kinda abandoned the game, B: it would get too personal and EA/Redwood might not want to change anything. But you can surely try.

2: Try to contact the leader somehow. Facebook, discord, etc. All he has to do is come online once, give officier rank (or even ownership!) to another player and boom, all problems are gone (yes, the leader CAN transfer ownership, but ONLY HE can).

3: Last hope: Make a new alliance. Invite everyone over and hope that this time everything will turn out fine.

Those are the options you have. There are no others. Our alliance has the same problem atm and right now we are trying to contact the leader somehow. He just has to come online for 2 minutes and do like 5 clicks and that's it.

  • My alliance leader transfer the alliance to me, and it is sad that like many , they hit the level 10 wall and felt like not fun to game on. The progression wall is stupid. Putting level 11 max against level 9 max early level 10.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

We have decided to start a new alliance, seemingly the new alliance can be the exactly same name.

So bit of a hassle, but definitely a solution.

Is it confirmed the dev’s have abandoned the game?

If true, that’s sad as it’s quite enjoyable.

  • It‘s not completely abandoned, but it‘s in a weird spot now. Apparently we will still get balance patches every now and then (we had one in September), but don‘t expect any new units/events/skins in the near future.

Existing events, races, sales, new map pools for tib league will however still exist.

Skins? I thought they don't give any new ones, but I checked the collection and found a purchasable avatar skin. I have no idea when the skin came out but it seems to be new. My suggestion is that they recycle the skins and use them in races, events etc.

If the player wins an event and there's a skin reward even though he has it, he's rewarded an epic crate instead.
