I still want to see a “no pad” mode. Lol
This would be fun, overwhelm the opponent's army and and push until either has no more tiberium for use. Too bad, we are going to need a timer that's longer than 8 minutes. Has anyone tried this before, like ignore all the pads and try to destroy the opponent's army and economy. This can occur on a practice battle in an alliance, with either player ignoring the missile pads.

I do it all the time. If I can kill your Harvester twice with Scarabs, next a Flame Tank is coming for your base. And some Seth pods lol.
And i I have it done to me all the time. If my opponent is able to make it to a Disruptor... and Col. Jackson’s that thang... well it’s night night for me. Lol
Now obviously I know this isn’t what you meant, but I will completely ignore the pads and base rush if I see an opening. Once a guy sent Shock Troopers to a corner of my base and then blocked him in with War Dogs and took a TON of health off my base. All while controlling the pads while I was focused on that misdirect.
Too bad that the opponent won't follow the rules that you would dictate. I once tried to control the pads with harvesters. With that, I managed to launch a missile once, but I wasn't planning on winning. It was more like goofing off in front of my opponent. Someone once decided to play along and ate all the harvesters I sent to him. Too bad he didn't want to end it with a tie. He would have accumulated more than 7000 worth in tiberium if all 8 minutes came by. He ended the match after 5 minutes.
