Purchased the ultimate collection tonight....and the only reason I did was because Origin says that it added support for windows 7. However after installing original C&C, it just shows black screen and plays sound. Also can't close app once in game, have to use task manager to shutdown process. What is the fix for this? Why would they say it has windows 7 support but not work?Also I like how I wasted my money on this collection when you have to do all the work of EA Programmers to get these games to work....I might as well have kept my First Decade installation and did all this work.Thanks for charging people to do your jobs....WAY TO GO EA!!!! TOP NOTCH COMPANY!!!!

I had to pay about 50 $ to buy it from Gamestop today as your link for 29.99$ didnt work for me ! It was downloaded successfully All I had were black screen videos ! No moving slide menues !!! You are selling a garbage! Please don't say what is my hardware requirements because I ran this game 11 years ago on a silly hardware PC ! I want a fast response & solution ** I tried Win XP SP3 mode to run it .. No hope !!

admin, and/or compatability mode have zero effect on CC3/kanes or RA3/Uprising. These two games suffer the exact same problem, launcher starts .the process initiates in task manager, then disappears. This occurs on even a completely new win7 /x64 setup. All the usual suspects checked and confirmed working such as DirectX to hardware drivers. I've been doing this since the days of the TRS-80 I still believe this is an origin integration issue. Why, because the version of RA3 not connected to origin works, I borrowed a copy from a buddy and it actually loads up. ofcourse its his copy so I can't register it and all but it does load up.

i got it working. im using an asus n7 laptop so switched graphics to the intergrated ran the game cranked all the graphics setings up exited and switched back to the nvidia graphics. ran like a treat. runing win 8 x64

Whoah - glad I read this thread before buying the ultimate collection (which I very nearly did).

Only really wanted a downloadable version of RA2, but I'm b***ered if I'm gonna install another another Steam-like client only for it not to work anyway!

yeah i was excited to get this package too. and totally dissapointed as many of the games dont work on win 7 (even after spending hours on work around configurations).
I later found out you can download most of the older games for free, up to red alert 2 i think? and since they aren't through origin they are all playable and able to be configured properly.
what a scam.

Well lets see I get to play 2 games of the 17....so thats $10 a piece for thoese to when there 15 years old, and all the aggrevation of trying to get the others to run. (ohh and having ur client, NOT UNINSTALLING)

Unno, its not the money it cost. More money can always be made. It's the princeipal!!!!!
