@RenoVegaThe other common issue is that it seems you need to log in to Windows with an actual Administrator account and NOT a standard user. The game launch seems to fail with that same error when the app tries to obtain elevated privileges on a standard user account.

Unfortunately none of these solutions have worked for me, but gave me hope for a second so I do appreciate that. It's been 2 years and I still can't play a game I bought over a decade ago. I can't even submit an EA support chat as a required dropdown to list the system we're having the issue on doesn't work. I responded to my 10th email ticket about this issue, and all they're asking for at this point after uninstalling everything multiple times is my email address and if I have access to the email I'm replying to them on. The incompetence and neglect is unreal. Who's ready for a class action lawsuit??? Please message me. Let's do it. After numerous posts and support tickets over the years going nowhere I'm so done. 

I've been trying to get this exact same problem fixed for MONTHS with NO success, and I've had enough -- I'm in on the class-action lawsuit!  Which lawyer do you have in mind?
