Re: Custom maps not working with Steam

So;

Downloading Steam maps doesn't work, but reading other threads this seems to be related to EA's server, so wait and see i guess

But - if you want you play custom maps locally, you can either create an mpr file or download one manually then put them in a folder on your local disk;

C:\Users\<user>\Documents\CnCRemastered\Local_Custom_Maps\Red_Alert

C:\Users\<user>\Documents\CnCRemastered\Local_Custom_Maps\TIBERIAN_DAWN

Do that - and they show up!!!

    Downloading Steam maps works, but you have to specifically go to the Workshop inside the Steam interface and subscribe to it there. You'll see a small progress bar at the bottom of the Steam browser saying it's downloading the map.

    They don't seem to update, though. The only way I found to update a Steam item was to once again go into the Workshop page through the Steam UI, go to my subscribed items, open the item, unsubscribe and then re-subscribe, to make it download it again.
